Subject: Why Brock’s Performance Exhaust Systems are Different.

Most of the differences involve thought process, design and test criteria...it is a philosophy.

Basically, we find that other exhaust companies concentrate on development using road race technology. Low-end and mid-range power (at partial throttle openings) are paramount to assist cornering speeds, etc… In this type of racing, the machines only maintain high rpm usage for a limited time before decelerating to power up again. A sport bike drag racer needs lower revs for a moment on the launch before wide open sustained high rpm usage is required.

We are drag racers who not only street ride our machines most of the time, but also want the maximum performance out of them at the track...bragging rights are on the line every time we stage!

Mid to high rpm power and a dedicated power curve to provide the best possible ACCELERATION is our goal. If a late model 1000+ CC sport bike needs more low-end grunt, we can’t tell from the way we use them!  (Hell, we can’t keep the front ends on the ground!!) So, why are most manufacturers concentrating on small primaries, crossover tubes, etc…? These are road race ‘buzz’ words that sport bike drag racers don’t need. A surprising aspect of this difference in goals is that we really don’t lose anything in the areas they target...and we run off from them up top!

Check out our Dyno Section: http://www.brockracing.com/dyno_charts/default.htm

We drag strip test all of our products using the same proven methods we have utilized for years to benefit our American Suzuki-backed AMA Prostar National Drag Race team.  2004 was no exception:

http://www.dragbike.com/dbnews/templates/team_template.asp?articleid=912&zoneid=9/SPAN

We have numerous national records/wins/championships, and of course, our “World Record First 7-Second Street-Legal Motorcycle” accomplishment:  http://www.brockracing.com/7second.htm

Our customers have set records also. They have numerous wins in AMA/Prostar classes ranging from 600 Supersport (Gainesville 2002) to the Prostar Street Chaos Class where the top street racers in the country put big $$$ on the line at the track. When there is a stack of cash on the line, these guys choose Brock’s Performance. Here are additional details:

http://dragbike.com/news/11-02/110302a.htm

Maxton Land Speed standout, Dave Owen, owns, tunes, and pilots the fastest normally-aspirated non-streamlined motorcycle IN THE WORLD using our components! 215+ MPH WITHOUT nitrous in a standing start mile proves that our development skills don’t end at the ¼-mile speed traps: http://www.brockracing.com/daveowen.htm

We have discovered that the other pipe guys don’t realize that exhaust system construction can hamper a late model sport bike's ability to utilize its ram-air system to the fullest. We measure this at the drag strip and design accordingly. Our tapered head pipe/ over-sized design may seem like overkill to them - we just hope they keep missing out!

An added bonus is admittance to the StreetSmart Owners' Group with any system purchase, direct through Brock’s Performance or one of our authorized dealers:  http://www.brockracing.com/DEALERS.htm

The StreetSmart Owners' Group was designed to provide information to our customers with a single goal in mind...to help them OUT RUN anyone who isn't running our system by as much as possible!

It isn't practical for us to call each customer every time we make a breakthrough on the dyno or on the track. So we periodically update the Owners' Group and allow you to check as your schedule allows.

The How to Slam and Prep articles are what we consider to be general knowledge.  We gather the information and try to make it enjoyable to read:
http://www.brockracing.com/forum/display_forum_topics.asp?ForumID=4

The StreetSmart Owners' Group information is far more valuable, and we guard it like gold. What to do, what NOT to do, and what NOT to purchase! This alone puts a bigger gap between US and THEM!!

We recently added a StreetSmart Owners' Talk section to our information Forum. This password protected PRIVATE area allows our customers to talk about performance modifications and Owners' Group information without uninvited LURKERS using our information against them!!

Of course, all of this information and map upgrades are FREE with any Generation 3 StreetSmart, Street Megaphone, or
4-2-1 Sidewinder Purchase.

The bottom line is this… We provide the best possible exhaust we know how to make AND tell you how to use it. Any decent professional racer will tell you that there is no single product or tuning technique that will instantly get you out front. It takes a smooth functioning COMBINATION.

We provide the component combination and tech support you need to get you where you want to go. Our mapping is spot-on perfect for around-town cruising or all-out racing. Our map database is huge. You tell us exactly how you ride, and we will send multiple maps for you to test for yourself...all at no additional cost.

Thanks for your inquiry,

Brock

Not normal to bog, check your TPS, Stock plugs are ok or you can run cr9ek or cr9eix and you do not have to reprogram if battery goes dead.
