I am running the clutch mod for 2007 gsxr 1000. My aluminum plate is warped. It measured same thickness of a steel plate. I placed steel plate in place of aluminum plate. should this cause problems. I havent noticed any as of yet, raced bike appears fine. just wanted make sure. If it is okay, then why send aluminum instead of steel. Aluminum would warp easier?

bink,

The steel will work ok but the aluminum plate is lighter and when the springs are installed the aluminum will get flat the steel will not.

The plates have two coatings, the first is a military hardcoat anodize, second is tungsten.
