I had a shop install a Streetmeg on my 2008 ZX14 and it started to leak lots of motor oil from the top of engine. What do you think went wrong with the install? Is it coming from the air box or valve cover gasket? Did they plug up the wrong port or hole.?
Rear sprocket for a Hayabusa and want to know how many teeth should I go with that would not effect my top-end. I am down one in the front. The bike will be used for quarter mile 10% of the time and the rest will be road racing on the highways. I have your 1397 kit!
I've been using the map that was sent to me and I checked my plugs and it appears that I'm running on the lean side of things. There's some detonation going on and it's causing the plugs to loosen. I'm running 93 octane pump, should I switch to 100 octane?
I've followed your progress on the 2012 ZX-14R. The ECU mod put up great numbers, so why use a Power Commander? The ECU mod removed the top speed limiter and still provides a great a/f ratio from the Dyno sheets I have seen.
What is the highest compression ratio you guys have run milling of head to achieve it and what power gains for the Busa? (JE Flat Tops). What are the tightest piston to valve numbers you would be game to run? I will certainly be rechecking my MAC numbers when I take the lid off, my initial measurements were taken perpendicular to the pin with a .037 and .036 so I guess that averages to .0365?
I just installed Brocks ct dual full system on my 2013 zx14r. it had a pcv with an all 0 map in it.(dealer installed as well as alien head slippons I replaced with the full system) I road it to work (40 miles each way) for 2 days, and played with all types of standing starts,roll-ons, etc and was grinning from ear to ear. I received three maps from Brocks, street pump gas---track pump gas---, and track race gas. We installed the street pump gas map at work were I have multiple laptops and a computer guru(which I am not). I then road the 40 miles home trying to make legitimate comparisons to the "no map" acceleration test from the two days before. I realize that seat of the pants can be deceiving, but I've been riding and racing for 54 years. With that said, the bike now seems to be fluffy or soft between about 3000 and 5500 rpm in roll-ons. If you leave hard from a standing start it seems to pull right through. I know the flies can enter into this, but why would it seem to do better with "no map" than the street map. It was rainy and very humid that first day of test. I rode to work, today, it is cool and dry it and "seemed" to do much better.Should I try the pump gas race map, is my seat of the pants dyno all wrong, could the weather affect it that much, your thoughts and or your instructions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for your time and consideration. cordially, Robby Byrd
I am looking at your "Top End engine package" or the "piston kit with cams" for my Hayabusa. Assuming that these packages increase compression ratio, what octane fuel is needed to assure reliable operation? The best fuel I have around here is 90 octane at the pump.
Can I get 2 new maps for my Busa. One for pump gas and one for MR12 with the following mods: 1397 block with flat top pistons, head done, stock intake cam, intake cam on exhaust side (105/106) valve springs air box mod/BMC race filter, Brock's sidewinder with baffle
Brock's, Please advise, I own an 2005 Busa 1394cc with a MTC Multi-stage Lock-Up, a MTC billet clutch basket and MTC inner hub. I want to stop using my lock-up and switch to your Clutch Cushion Kit instead; however, I want to keep using my MTC basket and inner hub. (Note that I have already purchased your clutch cushion kit #270500 and clutch spring spacer kit .280 thick #270435.) My question is, do I use your Clutch Cushion Kit HD and XHD springs and your Clutch Spring Spacer Kit .280 Thick together with my MTC hub and basket? I ask because I read Dragbike's March 21, 2003 "BDE Hayabusa Clutch Cushion System" article which mentions to use your "S13-CCK-MTC" with MTC lock-up unit. I am guessing that the nomenclature, "S13-CCK-MTC" is now your Clutch Spring Spacer Kit #270435; is this correct? Additionally, I read in the overview section of your Clutch Spring Spacer Kit .280 Thick, that it too mentions using with a MTC Inner Hub. Thanks much for any advise provided.
Why does my bike get less gas mileage after I installed your exhaust system? Primary use is street, but stoplight drags are frequent. Only the exhaust with O2 plug was added to the bike.
