It was an all-Team Brock’s Performance Products final in 1000 Supersport at the AMA/Prostar Schnitz Memphis Blues Nationals, Oct 1-2, with points leader Rickey Gadson capturing the event victory from Vince Woska to clinch the season championship.

“I’m really happy about the way the season has gone,” Gadson said. “There is no doubt that this was the hardest race of the year. Every round was tough.”

Even more impressive was the fact that Gadson won the Indy event on Friday night capturing every racer’s dream – the elusive “double.” Gadson edged out John Hall in a side-by-side final, with Gadson running his then quickest run to date at 9.17 to John Hall’s 9.18.

“It was a top notch weekend. The bikes performed very well all weekend,” team owner Brock Davidson said. “Neither one of the guys had time to practice in-between races so I give them a lot of credit for getting their heads on straight and riding so well.”

For the Memphis event Gadson qualified on the pole with a stout 9.18 at 154 mph, with Woska not far behind in the No. 3 spot with an on-pace 9.21 at 155 mph.

“There were guys out there that one minute weren’t running so well and the next were flying. So it was very important for us to be on our game.” Davidson said. “It was a fantastic team effort.”

Gadson advanced through the bracket with a 9.23 during his first round bye, followed by a pair of 9.24s to defeat Darren Burnett and his nephew Richard Gadson.

“Rickey really got it done for us this weekend,” Davidson said. “It’s amazing he only rides this bike at national events and he still makes the win light flash when the pressure is on. He ran his quickest ET and was sharp on the tree. It’s the same thing he used to do to me when I raced against him. I’m glad that now he is doing it for me.”

Woska laid down a consistent string of 9.28, 9.27, and 9.27 to defeat Tommy Campbell, Danny Payton, and Lee Shierts.

“I just tried to stay calm and do the same exact thing every pass,” said Woska, who attends the University of Missouri. “The bike ran really well.”

“In the final Gadson bettered Woska with a rapid 9.20 at 154 mph to Woska’s 9.32 at 154 mph.

“It was kind of a bittersweet win,” Gadson said. “The Woskas are part of the reason I have done so well this year because of all the work they have put in on my bike. You hate to take anyone like that out, but when you go up and pre-stage anyone in the next lane is the enemy.”

“I knew I had to make a good run to beat Rickey,” Woska said. “I got a little too aggressive and wheelied.”

Heading into the final race of the year Gadson has clinched yet another AMA/Prostar championship and Woska sits in third, just seven points out of second place.

Team Brock’s Performance backed rider Phil Stoll also had a successful weekend by advancing to the final of the Pro Street category.

“Phil and Ronnie (Mitchell) have done a great job,” Davidson said. “They overcame a lot of problems. We really like working with them. They’ll do whatever it takes to get to the final.”

The team will conclude the season Nov. 11th-13th in Gainesville, FL, for the AMA/Prostar World Finals.
